How to Upgrade N310 Ram

First of all, you need to get some RAM, if you have an Amazon account, check out some examples here: USA or UK.

You will need a 2GB DDR2 SODIMM memory module of 800 MHz or 667MHz. Brands such as Corsair, Kingston or Crucial will be a good choice, but any should do fine.

  • Ensure your netbook is completely shut down (ie not just on stand by!)
  • Locate the memory hatch underneath your N310
  • Undo the screw holding the cover in place, take care not to strip the screw
  • Ground yourself to ensure you don’t damage the chip with static electricity. Do this by touching a grounded metal object such as a radiator
  • Push the clips outward to release the RAM, it should pop up
  • Now slide it carefully out
  • Replace with your new 2GB RAM module
  • Now replace the hatch and do up the screw
